Lovely Days

Yesterday I got some more stones moved, and I put down the rest of our stepping stones to extend our patio. I think I'm going to buy one more to complete the square and I might pull these up to even out the dirt underneath them. I'm also wondering how far over my blacktop comes for the driveway. I don't know if I dig back some of that dirt if I will find more blacktop, or just more dirt. I don't want grass between the driveway and patio, though, so we'll see what I come up with.

I think I'm going to outline the patio on the far side and the left side with plants. It's going to look pretty good when it's done. I think I want to get some yard lamps too - the little walkway lamps. I can't remember what they're called. Lanterns?

I figured out that the mystery plant is probably a weed. I'm pretty confident about this one. After all, there are some growing in my gutters, and I'm thinking that's a great indicator.

I made some macaroni & cheese and beefed it up with some fresh spinach leaves and diced tomatoes. Donovan enjoyed the noodles. I enjoyed the veggies. Plus it looked pretty. Pretty meals make me feel like I'm taking care of myself. Hence the tomato garnish.

Today I took some more stones out of the dirt out front, but I didn't get anything noticable done. We had a pretty busy day.

I took a mile-long walk with Donovan, Andrew, Amelia and Francis, the dog. Basically, that means we walked around the circle of our neighborhood 3 times.

I also went to pick up a free dryer. It's not pretty, but they say it works, and I figured, for free, I'll give it a try. My laundry room isn't proud.

I also got a couple of great photos of the lighthouse and the mountains. You can kind of see the snow-caps. It's skiing season out here.

I got 4 new names today. I have 4 facials scheduled within the next 7 days. I'm excited. Actually, tomorrow's afternoon facial is going to be at least 2 people. Possibly 3 - and the hostess has a babysitter coming, so Donovan and her baby will be occupied.

Things are about to take off in a big way for me. I can feel it. I just have to be brave enough to go with it and not get scared by the sweep of success.
